 | 26th Aug 2008 | Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway (Day 1)
My first ever visit to the famous 15" Gauge Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway in Kent. This is Day 1 of 2.I would advise anyone who hasn't visited this railway to visit! It is amazingly impressive! The locomotives in operation on day 1 were:-
4-6-2 Pacific No3 "Southern Maid"
4-6-2 Pacific No2 "Northern Chief"
4-6-2 Pacific No8 "Hurricane"
4-8-2 Mountain Class No5 "Hercules"
4-8-2 Mountain Class No6 "Samson"
Bo-Bo Diesel Locomotive "John Southland"

Another visit to the lovely 15" gauge railway at Evesham Vale Country Park.0-6-2 ex-Longleat Side Tank "Dougal" (of 1970) was in operation operated by the railway's owners Jim & Helen Shackell.I also got a tour of the engine sheds and a ride on the engine.The EVLR people are very friendly and nice to talk to!:D

| Hi There!Ive been photographing steam for a few years now.I am a Cleaner at Shackerstone Engine Shed on the Battlefield Line Railway at Shackerstone and I also have two steam loco projects on the go-These are a 5" Gauge 0-4-0 Sweet Pea and a 3.5" Gauge GWR Modified Hall Class 4-6-0.I try to do as much steam as possible and in conclusion I hope you enjoy my site!
